Believe in yourself and work hard to achieve your dreams. No matter how many obstacles you face, keep trying harder!

I am an IT professional by experience, but a passionate crafter and creator. I left my twelve years of successful IT career with leading MNCs of India, willing to try and do something unique for little ones. I am an engineer by education but always loved crafting and doing things on my own. All thanks to my mom, who was with me all the time, encouraging me to learn more and more.

I was working with Cognizant when I was blessed with an angel. I was not satisfied with the 9-5 routine and the life revolving around her. All of a sudden, I decided this is not going to work longer. And then as an answer to the question – “what next?” the idea about accessories for little girls was born.

While I was searching accessories for my daughter, I always found a gap and was not satisfied with the quality of the ones found in the market. And then, I started working on the idea.

WOI - WomenpreneursofIndia feature AnshuI launched Mini Mods formally in March 2018. The name Mini Mods is dedicated to 2 M’s of my life. The first M is my inspiration for making hair accessories – my daughter, Mishika. And other M is my mom, whom I owe learning to craft throughout my life. At Mini Mods, we have kid’s hair accessories at present. We are the first brand in India providing adjustable elastic headbands. Also we are the first brand in India to give new definition to fabric bows.Currently, we have 15-20 bow shapes and we are adding on.

My first sale was to my girl obviously. But, the formal first customer was my best friend, who trusted and supported me in all walks of my life.Through Mini Mods, I wanted to bring happiness to the angels gifted by god. Whenever a customer sends me an image of their little one wearing our accessories, my heart just skips a beat. It gives me immense pleasure. Mini Mods is a little effort to add a lot of swag to the little angels of our life.

As I mentioned, my daughter and my mom are always the inspiration behind Mini Mods and everything. We have a team of under-privileged women, who are our support. My brother and sister have always been my critics and my biggest supporters. When I started my entrepreneurial journey, I lost my dad. It took lot of time to gather myself and restart. But, his last words – “Do hard work and you will get success!” keeps me motivated.

Business is always a struggle. If you don’t struggle, you won’t be able to learn. I am learning new things every day. I believe learning should never be stopped at any point of time in life.
Lastly, I just wanted to express my gratitude to all moms who trusted me and my work till now and in future as well.
